We are delighted that our flagship school, Cheadle Hulme High School, has been named as one of the UK’s top-performing schools in The Sunday Times national rankings 2022.
The Parent Power Schools Guide is the definitive primary and secondary school league table, and identifies the highest achieving schools based on GCSE and A level results
This year’s league table, based on examination grades between 2017 – 2019, places CHHS in the top five percent of all state schools in the country, with almost three-quarters of all A level grades achieved being A*- B.
Each year, the list is noted as being heavily populated by London and South East schools, but amongst this CHHS has stood out as a symbol of excellence within the North.
Dave Brown, Headteacher at Cheadle Hulme High School, said:
“Cheadle Hulme High School’s continued success is a real testament to the hard work of our staff, students and wider school community, I cannot thank them enough for their unwavering support and dedication.
“Each year I am extremely proud to see our commitment to building upon previous achievements reflected in the results of our students and this year has been no different as we continue to provide each student with the opportunities to thrive.“
Linda Magrath, CEO of Laurus Trust, said:
“Cheadle Hulme, as our flagship school, continues to embody our core values of high aspiration and high standards for all students. The school’s strong ethos underpins everything they do which has enabled them to continue making a real difference for all of their students.
