Laurus Electives Programme

Our Electives programme and extra-curricular activities encourage participation, develop self-belief, team work and leadership skills.  We inspire our students to broaden their horizons and believe that ‘anything is possible’.

Each one of our high schools follow the same traditional / non-traditional element to our electives and extra-curricular offer. As a Trust, we put a lot of emphasis on what our students do outside of the classroom, this is evident in our ability to bringing in over 30 specialised coaches across the Trust to allow our provision to be purposeful; our coaches range from ex-olympians, ex-world champions to current professional athletes.

The previous academic year saw an average of 86% of our Key Stage 3 students, across the Laurus Trust accessing our sporting offer which is 34% higher than the national average.

We offer a range of sports team that compete locally, regionally and nationally with over 3000 competitive fixtures taking place during the 21/22 academic year.

We hosted ten varsity fixtures whereby our individual schools compete against other Trust school for badges, trophies and bragging rights. It is really important to us that our students acknowledge that we are a part of a Trust as well as healthy competition.
